"new feature unlocked! the battlepass!" succumbed to the mobile game monetisation rot, has alot of buttons in the main menu that are just "pay us money" buttons and has a shop where you can basically gamble your irl money just like most mobile games these days, which sucks. stop this. you WILL get stuck on lvl 5 without paying money or watching alot of ads, which is just horrible, don't make the game free to play if you're gonna halt the player if they don't pay

Pros: It's fun. I enjoy seeing what all the upgrades do and advancing trying different methods. But that's where the pros stop. The game is extremely invasive. Unless you pay to remove ads, which is expensive, the game is beyond filled with ads. Some of the ads are also spam and feel like a type of malware. An ad will open and automatically download an app to your phone. Or the tiny X button doesn't do anything except open a different app. The ads are also LONG sometimes a minute or more.

Played it daily for a month, but once you get to about level 20, where the solid blue squares that split are a regular enemy, and all enemies are shielded, entire weapons and upgrade paths become obsolete. Recently, some of the ads have been opening on their own and I am starting to think the game put malware on my phone. A lot of potential, but I wouldn't waste time with this due to seemingly sleazy business practices by the developers.
